NULL RESULTS : - B vitamins fail to reduce CVD in high-risk women

A dietary supplement combining folic acid, vitamin B6, and vitamin B12 failed to reduce the risk for cardiovascular events among women at risk for or with a history of cardiovascular disease (CVD), randomized trial data show.

"These null results for women are consistent with those previously reported in randomized trials composed primarily of men with pre-existing vascular disease," say the researchers, led by Christine Albert (Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts, USA).
